1. Log on to www.slmeducationloans.com

2. On the left side of the screen, under “Career Training Loans”, click on “Apply Now” for a SLM Financial Private Education Loan

3. Complete the online loan application and submit it for credit processing (approximate time for completion = 10 minutes)

4. Within 30 seconds, you will receive a web response

5. If the loan is approved, SLM Financial will email the following to you for the borrowers signature:
-- Disclosure Statement
-- Promissory Note
-- Pre-filled Loan Application

6. After certifying the loan documents (including the electronic application) and obtaining the borrower’s signature, you will send to SLM the following:
-- All Loan Documents
-- Borrower’s Recent Paystub (tax returns if self-employed)
-- Borrower’s Signed ID

7. SLM Financial will send the funds directly to the Institute on the provided disbursement date.
