Program Pre-requisites:
No prior experience is required in computers.
Program Objectives: This
is a fast pace productivity enhancement program to help you quickly
develop the skills that you can use right away. Students completing
the program should have the necessary skills to become employed as an
entry level document creation and management person, web content developer,
database user, spreadsheet creator, e-mail configurator, and setting
up internet accounts.
Working
with Windows 2003: The course
covers understanding Windows environment, customizing Windows, controlling
printers, and working with fonts. The course covers installing, running,
and uninstalling windows applications, compressing a disk, improving
performance with disk defragmenter, ScanDisk, managing files with
Windows Explorer, backing up and protecting your data, and getting
connected with Internet.
Using Microsoft Word 2003:
The course covers Microsoft Office for Windows 95 environment, identifying
screen parts, typing and formatting basics, managing files and work
areas, and using help. Using Word, creating and editing documents,
formatting documents, proofreading and printing documents, customizing
word, working with large documents, and working with Tables and Borders.
Working together with Microsoft applications.
