Router Configuration
Program Pre-requisites:
This package is designed for individuals who have experience in Local
Area Networking, and who need skills on a fast pace to enhance their
career in the Wide Area Networking market place.
Program Objectives: This
program teaches you how to implement the TCP/IP protocols using Cisco
router. The program provides detailed background information and hands-on
experience that can be used for building real-world internetworks. The
program covers the topics for the CCNA and CCNP exams. Students completing
the program should have the necessary skills to become employed as Cisco
Router configurators and implementers.
Topics covered are as follows:
Cisco Certified Network Associate
(exam #640-507): Introduction and IP addressing. The internetworking
model, physical, data link, transport and network layers, path determination,
TCP/IP protocol suite, IP routing protocols, IP configuration, RIP,
IGRP, OSFP, configuring Novell IPX, AppleTalk configuration, basic traffic
management and access lists. Wide area networking and virtual local
area networking (VLAN). Configuring ISDN, X.25, frame relay, ATM, PPP,
and multilink PPP.
